Meet the Pollinators Event June 11 from 9-12 pm
This will be a little educational event (not as big as Enchanted Garden), but we need your help! The purpose of this event is to educate the public on the importance of our pollinators! There are plans for some native plant vendors to be on site, honey educators and vendors, crafts focusing on our bees and butterflies, a seed give away or swap, and other educational give aways!
Our garden club will do Butterfly safari’s. If a participant ID’s at least 10 butterflies they will get a certificate from Wings over Florida. We will also have an info table and possibly garden tours.
June 15, Wednesday at Mullet Creek Park
Our June general meeting is scheduled to be a planting day at Mullet Creek led by MG Janice Corbett starting at 8:00am Wednesday June 15. The city is providing lunch!
We will be planting and watering in as we continue to build our, "Pollinator Wildlife Corridor," stretching from Folly Farm to Mullet Creek Park.
Many plants will come from our Folly nursery! A team led by MG Janice Corbett will pick plants from our nursery. Leslie/Nancy will act as advisors. Additional plants will be purchased from Wilcox.
This is a great gardening event and it will really enhance an already beautiful park!
